Swimming is all about speed and agility in water. The speed influences how fast one can cross from one side of the pool to the other and the agility refers to how smoothly one cuts through the water.

This year’s 2022-2023 Buffalo/ Maple Lake swim and dive season kicked off in November and will finish off their season in March of 2023. “So far we have had some pretty good meets. We have many competitive teams to go against. We are in the Central Lake Conference. With having to compete with the great teams we have to try our hardest even though we are used to losing to them and that’s ok,” senior Evan Krasnow said.

The swim team pushes themselves and their teammates to make them successful and reach their goals to make it to sections as individuals and as a team. “This year we have been working really hard as a team and competing best we can,” freshman Hayden Dircks said.

As the season will come to an end, no matter how they did or placed they all should be proud of themselves and their teammates. They will push themselves and prove they can get better, and show that their hard work and dedication paid off.
