Homecoming king and queen finally crowned after postponement

From the new seventh grade students to the teachers and staff, the school held a virtual coronation for everyone to attend through Google meet. Coronation finally took place on Monday, November 16 and watched live virtually throughout the school after the postponement of homecoming week.

Seniors Logan Carlson and Mary Miller were crowned king and queen. “I had a feeling that I could possibly win because a lot of people were saying that they wanted me and my twin sister, Lyndsie, to win,” said Logan.

The homecoming court consisted of five girls and five boys from the senior class. “It was kind of awkward standing on stage when they were talking about me because nobody was in the audience except parents,” said Candidate Dani Geyen. Dani enjoyed listening to the candidate’s funniest moments being shared.

Coronation was followed with a group picture of the candidates. “My favorite part of coronation was being with all of my friends and taking pictures afterwards,” said Candidate Charlie Berndt.

Although the reveal of the king and queen was delayed, the wait was worth it in the end.
