Girls’ basketball team dribbles to victory

The girls varsity basketball team started their season off with a scrimmage and it has been going great ever since. Sophomore Megan Lind said, “The season is going well. We are making lots of progress especially since our first game.”

The girls played four games so far this season and still have many games left to continue to improve. “I think we could improve on passing and running offense accurately,” said Junior Captain Grace Heying.

This season has been much different than other seasons because of how young the new team is. “We need to grow confidence in each other and grow in team experience while having fun,” said Junior Peyton Tongen.

However, the new team is excited to grow together. “We are like a family,” said Lind.

So far the score this season is 1-3. “We just need to learn how to decrease turnovers,” said Junior Kate Latour. The team thinks they will progress as the season goes on.
