Students showing school spirit
Pep fest brings out the best
Have you ever thought about how kids see a pepfest? Do they like it? The students of Maple Lake know how it feels to have a pepfest. And this year with the added elementary students, the gymnasium had an extra vibe of excitement. That extra energy was also thanks in-part to an Irish mascot.
Senior Jarret Faue, the person behind the mask said, “I just went crazy; the more I sweat the more energy I get.”
With pepfest having multiple activities, to be successful organizers needed students to participate in them.
Sydney Breimon said, “It’s fun to do all the different activities with my friends and I like trying new things.”
Student council organized the two-hour-long event.
Student council member Charlee Wurm said, “It was fun to think of new games.” Wurm also said, “My goal was to entertain the students and include them as much as possible.”
The pepfest had a lot of activities including teachers vs seniors in volleyball, the scavenger hunt, the bean bag grab game, and the sports team roll.
With all of these activities, the students got to get involved and show school spirit.
