Staying Strong and Moving On

Volleyball team ends regular season on high note

Maple Lake volleyball team has a smashing win against ACGC on their last regular season home game. “It was a great last home game because everyone got a chance to play and everyone played well,” said junior Gwen Geyen.

Since it was senior night, all the seniors received a sweet message and gifts from the underclassmen. There are ten seniors in total this year, which has been a lot more than previous years. “I think we had a great group of people this year in volleyball. We all worked hard and supported one another,” said senior Alison Zander.

The girls may have one more playoff home game but are unsure as of now; they plan to keep trying to do their best every game. “It was weird to think that I had just played my last home volleyball game, and I would no longer be playing on that court ever again, but I was happy with how we played,” said senior Kylie Edmonson.

The girls are sad their season is coming to an end but are also very excited to go and do new things. They hope to continue playing and advancing in the playoffs.
