Craving a Comeback

Boys’ Basketball Off to Rough Start

The fans were not happy. The boys’ basketball team was losing 66-37 and  the game felt like it was moving in slow motion. Their season was off to a difficult start. Although they were improving it wasn’t quick enough.

“We weren’t playing as well as we could be,” said junior Layton Johnston. The team itself was doing fine, but they really struggled on offense in the game against Watertown.

They have been putting in the time that was needed to practice for future games. “They are really improving from the last few games,” said coach Preisinger.

Even with the improvement from the start of the season, the turnovers were happening more than they were expecting. “The turnovers need to be worked on,” said senior Ernesto Brown.

However, the team has been building on their experiences. Even with some tough losses, they are slowly improving.

If they keep practicing on their turnovers and offense, future games may be different.
