Lending a Hand

Hand in Hand, Heart to Heart

Christmas time, it’s the most wonderful time of the year. All around the world, there are charities, communities, fundraisers, and group that love to give back for the holidays. Christmas time may be the most wonderful time of the year, but it’s also the most stressful time of the year. Many people around the world take the time and effort to help people who struggle for the holidays. Whether it’s struggling with money, or buying Christmas presents for your children. Good people are always somewhere to be found to lend a hand.

Maple Lake Sophomore, Nevaeh Lindsey, said the way she gives back for the holidays is “Donating money to charities. It makes me feel good that I can do something small and know it has a big impact on them.”

Another person giving back for the holidays is Maple Lake Freshman, Skylyn Johnson. Skylyn’s way of giving back for the holidays is, “Donating my old clothes, usually stuff that is too small for me or things I just don’t wear anymore. It feels good to be able to give back to people who really need it.”

Another way people are giving back for the holidays this year is through fun and entertainment. Maple Lake Sophomore, Eva McClelland, said, “I enjoy singing for my church. I feel scared at first, but overall, I have a lot of fun. I sing with super cool people and I enjoy singing.”

Maple Lake community is a place where we lend a hand and give back to those in need. Christmas time, it’s the most wonderful time of the year.
