A Break in the Action

Homework, tests, and pop quizzes! Teachers have been trying to pull out all the tricks on Maple Lake students so far this year. Now with Halloween around the corner, students share what makes their holiday season such a treat. On October 31, you can find senior Jeffrey Henrikson munching on his favorite candy Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups while trick or treating with his family.

Junior Jack Klug has other ways of celebrating Halloween. “I’ll usually cuddle up with my dog and watch scary movies like It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” said Klug.

Sophomore Ella Kiebel isn’t a fan of scary movies, but really enjoys the opportunity to dress up. Kiebel said her best costume was when she dressed up as Mary Poppins in kindergarten and won three costume contests.

No matter how students spend their Halloween, they enjoy a break with less stress and more scare!
