Tee Time is Me Time

Peterson Putts, Plays, and Persists

Senior Andrea Peterson stood on the grass, club in hand while it was cold and cloudy out for her first outdoor practice. “I was thinking about it being my last high school golf season and it’s a little sad but I’m really excited for it,” said Peterson. There’s no doubt Peterson is dedicated to this upcoming season and the whole sport of golf itself.

Peterson has always liked golf and it has always beem in her life because everyone in her family plays it. “I love how it’s very personal and independent but it’s also a team sport in school,” said Peterson. This year Peterson actually has a team consisting of Brooke Lorenson, Missy Kirby, Karissa Kulinski, and some other girls from Howard Lake. Peterson’s looking forward to that and achieving her goals.

For Peterson’s last year of high school golf, she’s aiming high. “As for  my goals, I want to work on my golf swing, lowering my score, and have fun, of course,” said Peterson. With Peterson’s attitude and dedication toward the sport, her upcoming golf season will most likely be a memorable one.
