As winter sports come to an end, the time of the year that some kids have been waiting for has finally come. The golf season has arrived and the kids can finally pull out their clubs and get out on the course. “All summer I usually go and practice at Albion in Annandale to get ready,” said Junior Sam Zappa.

But while some kids have been waiting all year for the season some other kids have been a little more preoccupied. “Golf is a  lot different than hockey because there isn’t any contact and it’s a lot more relaxed,” said Junior Devon Lyons.

With other sports like hockey and basketball some kids don’t really get to be outside. However with golf, kids get to spend all their time outside. “People say golf is so easy because all we do is drive carts around, but the truth is we don’t get carts. Just being outside walking and golfing with your friends is the best part about golf,” said Junior Ben Weese.

When the snow melts and the courses open the golf team can’t wait to get out on the course. With the first meet on April 20, the team tries to get as much practice as possible. Lets hope to see some low eighties or seventies on those score cards.
